What We Do
How We Help
At Treehouse Children’s Advocacy Center, we believe that every child deserves safety, the chance to heal, and the hope of a brighter future. Guided by these core values, we offer high-quality, trauma-informed therapy at no cost to children and non-offending family members who have experienced sexual abuse, severe physical abuse, or commercial sexual exploitation.
Our services are available to families within our service area (have been seen at The Treehouse) and are grounded in evidence-based practices proven to help children and families recover from trauma and reclaim their sense of safety and trust.
We understand that trauma impacts every child in unique ways. Some children may struggle with anger, anxiety, or behavioral challenges, while others may withdraw, feel overwhelmed by sadness, or experience nightmares and fear. Many children feel unsafe, even in everyday environments. These are natural, valid responses to trauma, and with the right support, they can be transformed into pathways toward healing.
Importantly, not all trauma is visible. Some children may appear to be “doing fine” but may be relying on emotional numbing or avoidance to cope—patterns that can interfere with long-term well-being. At Treehouse, therapy provides a safe space where children can gently explore their experiences, develop healthy coping skills, and move toward lasting healing.
We tailor our therapeutic approach to the individual needs of each child and family, providing flexible, compassionate care that supports emotional and behavioral growth. Whether a child is just beginning their healing journey or working to sustain progress, we walk beside them every step of the way, with safety, healing, and hope at the heart of everything we do.
